Scan 6.12.08

Today's scan showed Jaxon's cord blood flow to be measuring the same. We met with two Perinatologists to review everything. My monitoring will remain 3x daily, but we will be increasing the ultrasounds (scans) to 3x a week rather than 2. So starting next week the scans should be Mon/Wed/Fri.
The specialist said he felt that Jaxon's possible blood flow reversal is a bigger threat than cord compression and as soon as he sees the first sign of reversal the boys will be delivered. He made it clear that the boys are remarkably healthy so he was comfortable delivering them at that point...which could be in the next few weeks. They seemed to be preparing us to not have our hearts set on 32 weeks.
So far, so good.

Dear Jaxon and Brady,
How fun that you're able to play together so early in your little lives. My Uncle was a Principal in your neighborhood and my cousin, a teacher. Perhaps you'll play with some of my relatives when you get bigger. I live in California where it's a bit warmer. Tell your Mom and Dad I would like to offer them free umbilical cord kits if they would like to store in our bank. There would be numerous other twins for company. It sounds like you're becoming restless and would like to come out soon but, if I know early enough, I could have the kits delivered by early next week. Now, don't be in a hurry. You'll have plenty of time to play outside later. Sunny at CordBancUSA
